About the Opportunity

We have an exciting 12 month opportunity for a Reactive Arborist in our Parks Team.

Do you have great communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to address issues in a positive and professional manner you may be our ideal candidate!

You will be efficient and effective in the management of reactive tree inspections and works. You will undertake internal reports relating to trees and insurance claims, tree root damage, planning referrals and construction works. To undertake quality and safety audits of contractors and internal staff.

This role is fundamental in protecting, enhancing Councils tree population across the municipality.

This is a temporary full time role based at our Operations Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

This is a Band 5 classified role, remuneration will be $72,922.00 – $84,842.95 (depending on experience) plus 10% superannuation.

What you will need to thrive

In order to thrive in this position you will have:
Values and Behaviors aligned to those of Knox City Council.

Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff and contractors to achieve established standards of performance with timeframes.

High level communication skills both verbal and written, including a high level interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills and skills in liaising with stakeholders.

Experience undertaking a range of Arboricultural services

A minimum certificate IV in arboriculture with the assess trees module and substantial experience in tree management, including tree inspections and works allocation. ( we will consider people that have nearly completed their certificate IV in arboriculture studies)
