KONE Hiring for Test Automation Specialist at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Full Time

Job Description

We are now looking for Test Automation Specialist to join our experts at the KONE Services & Solutions R&D. You will work together with other professionals to develop advanced KONE digital solutions that leverage the latest in cloud and connectivity technologies. You are a test automation expert who is passionate about the quality of our SW deliverables (e.g. controllers, connectivity devices and cloud backend). You are familiar with the test automation and its best practices and you understand and appreciate the modern SW development practices. You work at your best when you are working with people and you enjoy helping others. You will work in a key role inside our Agile SW development team. Your closest colleagues will be other testing professionals, developers and the PO of the team. You will be part of KONE Technology and Innovation unit’s IoT Tribe. Main responsibilities

• Developing automated testing sets for connectivity related systems

• Writing detailed test case definitions

• Working closely with Development teams in a continuous delivery environment

• Implementing new techniques and bring innovative ideas to reduce the test execution time and improve test quality

• Creating understandable, simple, scalable and best quality automation test cases to verify and validate the software quality

• Measuring and reporting testing status and results

• Integrating testing to be part of build pipelines

• Sharing best practices and ideas for continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. You are a quick learner with strong analytical and logical skills and pro-active ways of working. You have previous experience with CI/CD tools and Python coding skills, combined with excellent understanding of automation testing ( Robot Framework ). Performance testing experience is seen as a big benefit as is experience of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google or IBM Watson) and knowledge about wireless connectivity solutions (4G, 5g etc.) is seen as a benefit.
