We are looking for a hands-on experienced farm manager. The roles and responsibilities are diverse and dynamic a few of which are mentioned below:

In addition to the below mentioned skills the farm managers also supervise various activities for generating extra income such as processing and selling farm products, breeding, field sports, fishing, permaculture, hydroponics and Vermicomposting. They also make necessary arrangements for Farm stays on the farm.

• Proposing & executing the combination, quantity and preparation (seeds, saplings, or graft) of the crops to be planted.
• Direct and coordinate activities of farm workers, such as planting, weeding, fertigation/pesticide application, harvesting, grading, payroll, record keeping, and land preparation.
• Hire temp staff, plan/coordinate and execute farm work assignments, maintain adequate feed for livestock/seeds/fertilizers & pesticides, set priorities and manage the work of farm workers as per set priorities and execute suitable and economic irrigation schedule.
• Ensure the regular maintenance of field equipment, machinery and farm buildings.
• Management of sales and marketing of farm products like crop harvest, dairy production, and livestock
• Meeting the deadlines for producing yield and sending the yield to market for auctions
• Monitoring the quality and quantity of crops and maintaining animal health
• Updating knowledge on plant and animal’s diseases and taking necessary measures for treating the same
• Preserving environmental biodiversity and undertaking protection activities if need be.
• Keeping a track of health and safety of farmworkers and other staff

Key Skills.

BSc/MSc Agriculture with Agronomy.

Experience: >5 yrs.

Strong team management, supervisory and motivational skills

Strong interpersonal skills.

Decision making.

Results oriented.

Strong project management skills.
