KPMG’s International Development Assistance Services (IDAS) practice delivers services in the USA and internationally to a variety of organizations, including: Government Development Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Corporations, Private Foundations, United Nations entities, Other Multi-Lateral Organizations, Public Charities and International Financing Institutions (IFIs).

Responsibilities

Experience and Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience working in the advisory consulting, nonprofit or international development sector
• A thorough understanding of the global development landscape, processes and stakeholders
• Familiarity with USAID, WBG, the UN and other bi-lateral and multi-lateral funding agencies preferred. Experience specifically developing proposals for these entities will be received favorably.
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Experience researching, analyzing and interpreting information, with an ability to distill information into specific takeaways
• Proven ability to successfully contribute to the development of winning; preferably in the development sector
• Experience delivering consulting work to a client, as part of a broader team, ideally in the development sector
• Ability to manage projects across countries/timezones/languages

Qualifications

Educational qualifications

• MBAs, Economists, Development specialists and Engineers from a leading Indian/International educational institution

Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills

• Exposure to strategy/consulting frameworks
• Exposure to Government Development Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Corporations, Private Foundations, United Nations entities, Other Multi-Lateral Organizations, Public Charities and International Financing Institutions (IFIs).
• Strong market research skills which require understanding of underlying drivers of growth and factors influencing demand and supply, etc.
• Strong report writing skills; ability to effectively synthesize information, bring out the essence of a paragraph, and build a clear storyline
• Strong secondary research skills. Familiarity of handling large datasets extracted from open sources, public agencies, databases, etc.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Creativity in pictorial representation of data, preparing decks for client presentations
