The Role

· Troubleshooting software failures, including contact with and support from IBM Product Support (PMR and SCCD);

· Seniority with WAS for z/OS;

· Experience in setting, maintaining and using SMPE environments and rollout processes;

· Experience with BMC SW such as Mainview, Mainview AutoOperator, CMF Monitor, Control/B;

· Expert knowledge of WAS for z/OS systems programming;

· Expert knowledge of WAS for z/OS Utilities;

· Expert knowledge of WAS administration;

· Expert knowledge of WAS log and trace analysis;

· Familiarity with z/OS, JES2, TSO ISPF, DFSMS, USS, IPCS, RACF, WLM;

· Familiarity with Office products e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint;

· Ability to work in teams and projects;

· Readiness to work nights and weekends – as required;

· Technical lead in Version/Release upgrades, migrations, and change projects – as required.

Who You Are

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT industry

• Experience with administration of WAS regions for z/OS.

• Experience with investigating and resolving problems in WAS related areas.


• Ability to provide support to the application programming groups, including handling inquiries and new resources, requests, coding design questions and assist in solving.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
