The Role
SAN Storage Admin
Support and perform IBM SAN , SVC Storage administration
Candidate should be comfortable & experienced with the basic concepts & performance tuning of various aspects in IBM SAN Implementation, maintenance, monitoring & debugging.
CISCO SAN switches operation & administration.
Brocade SAN switches operation & administration.
Knowledge of IBM Storage, V series, Flash system & SVC.
Good working Knowledge on SAN topologies, RAID, Arrays, Fabric Concepts, VSAN / Zoning.
Working knowledge of Hardware Replacement activities includes: Hard drive, Power supply, battery module, FC cable, SFP etc
Perform storage remote replication in V5000, V7000 & SVC
Working knowledge of Firmware Up gradation in SVC and V7000
Perform storage health check – check dashboard for hardware failure, check event logs for details,
Storage pool capacity check
Perfrom storage space (LUN) creation and allocation to Host.
Perform storage space (LUN) reclaim.
addition of host in storage
Understanding of capacity planning (space augmentation) considering future growth.
configuration of replication of data (using storage to storage replication)
Understanding of firmware upgrade of controllers and disk
IBM SVC administration
Troubleshoot and resolve SAN security Vulnerability in the environment.
Required Technical Skill Set
IBM FS900, V5000, V7000, Power 9 & SVC administration, managing CISCO & Brocade SAN Switches
Non-Technical Skill
Excellent Communication (Written / Verbal) , preferred languages English / Hindi / Marathi
Very good team player
