Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Linux Administrator you areresponsible for designing,Implementing and monitoring infrastructure andalso to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.Ability to priorities and multitask, lead technical projects, and complete the project within defined timescales. You will become an integral part of the team,making every problem of the platform a problem of your ownand solving them accordingly

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Over 5 + years of strong experience as a LINUX/UNIX System Administrator and Production Support of various applications onUnix,Red Hat Linux and Centos Linux environment.

•Experience on RHEL & Centos 6/7/8 implementation,Administration, Installation & Maintenance.

•Experience in physical hardware servers like Dell, Hpand LenovoAdministration, Hardware administration, OS installation via Console.

•Integration of various network related services like NFS, DNS, FTP, SFTP and Samba Server.

•Strong technical background in Storage, Disk Management, Software RAID, Logical Volume Management (LVM) and logical partitioning

•Hands on experience in OS management -NIC Bonding Roles, Permissions, iptables, Packages, service administration, File system and Log management

.•Experience in writing basic Shell scripts using bash, Perlfor process automation

•Management of User accounts, System security, change management and performance tuning.

•Assisting with any firewall / DNS requests related to Linux / Centos servers

.•Installation and configuration ofThird party softwares.

•Troubleshooting skills with network protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SMTP & SNMP.

•Experience in administering and troubleshooting Linux (no-boot, file system, network, storage and configuration related issues).

•Extensive implementation and troubleshooting experience under Client Server Systems.

•Experience with Nagios or any other monitoring tools.

•Respond to critical monitoring alerts.

•Experience with software management installations, patching of OS/apps etc.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field IT certifications or equivalent experience is an added advantage

•Additional Linux certifications (RHCE and RHCA) will be considered an advantage.

•Strong knowledge of RHEL/CentOS 6/7/8 in an enterprise environment

.•Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as a team member

.•Demonstrable experience in supporting and managing a large number of complex multi-server, multi-vendor, multi-technology infrastructures.

•Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
