Larsen & Toubro Hiring for Building Services – Draughtsman at Barasat-I, West Bengal, India Full Time

• To study the Basic Engineering Design Document and other documents necessary to carry out further engineering activities
• To perform and review/check engineering calculations, drawings and review Plant 3D models as required.
• To Design of RC & Steel Structure for Oil/Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical projects using STAAD, MS-Office & other Civil Engineering Software.
• To ensure that the departmental quality procedures are adopted consistently.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD for making RCC drawings for building, Retaining wall, Equipment foundation, pipe rack foundation, pipe sleepers, General Arrangement and details of steel structures.
• Able to make good quality drawing independently
• Building & structures in Hydrocarbon Projects
• Formwork, Scaffolding, equipment lifting scheme, project temporary setup, drafting, etc. with inter- departmental co-ordination

• Developing sketches pertaining to Steel and RC detailing. Checking/Review of Shop Fabrication Drawings.
• Working on AutoCAD / Microstation for Drafting

• Preparing General Layout and Detail Drawings for RC/ Steel structures, working in integrated 3D environment including Interface with other departments and vendors.
• Material Take Off/BOQ for Civil/Structural items

• Exposure to Drafting of Equipment Foundations, Machine Foundations, Piperack, Equipment supporting Structures, Buildings etc. using software like AutoCAD / MicroStation.
• Checking / Review of Fabrication Drawings/ Bar bending schedules would be desirable.
• Shall have hand-on experience in utilizing STAAD-Pro.
• Shall have necessary skills and knowledge to check design calculations and drawings for Foundation and structures.
• Experience in Design of RC & Steel Structure for Oil/Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical projects.
• Exposure to American Codes for Civil/Structural is preferred.
• Exposure to other design software such as Foundation-3D, Mat-3D, GTStruDl, SAP2000, ETABS etc. will be desirable
