Larsen & Toubro Hiring for Engineer – Process at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Full Time

• Experience in Process design & engineering related to RO and desalination water system.
• Preparation of preliminary Process design for: Pretreatment (includes Lamella, DAF, Media filters, Ultra- filtration, etc.), Reverse Osmosis (includes Brackish water, Sea water and Wastewater), Chemical dosing system, Sludge treatment (includes Centrifuge, Filter press, Thickener, etc. ) and Post treatment (includes lime stone filter etc. ).
• Proficiency in RO membrane design and UF membrane design with vendor software (Wave, IMS Design, Toray DS, Inge etc)
• Selection of process technology based on the feedwater characteristic and capable of doing the process calculations, membrane selection, filters selection etc. Hydraulic calculation, pressure drop calculation, line sizing ,Preparation of layout, PFD, P&ID, HFD, electrical load list and power consumption at different at different conditions with respect to tender/Contract guaranteed parameters.
• Prepare enquiry documents (RFQ), scopes of work, datasheets, etc for valves, pumps and other engineering items with proper selections required for RO desalination projects.
• Preparation of Control philosophy, O&M manual for the execution of the project.
• To interact closely with PLC engineer to help in logic development for FAT and SAT.
• Participation in technical meetings, decision making, preparing MOM and coordination with the clients.
• To prepare technical evaluation and comparison of documents furnished by different manufacturers and get the technical clarity from the vendor independently.
• Candidates should be flexible to travel long term / short term to various project sites and client / consultant offices based on the project requirement for document approval and resolution of site technical issues during execution.

Industrial Treatment Systems

Experience : 5 – 8 Yrs

• Experience in Process design & engineering related to Industrial Projects.
• Preparation of preliminary Process design for: Oil removal system(API, TPI and DAF) , Biological Treatment(SBR, ASP, MBBR and MBR) Pretreatment (includes Lamella, DAFF, Media filters, Ultra- filtration, etc. ), Reverse Osmosis (includes Brackish water, Sea water and Wastewater), Chemical dosing system, Sludge treatment (includes Centrifuge, Filter press, Thickener, etc. ), Conventional DM Plant, CPU and Evaporator.
• Selection of process technology based on the feedwater characteristic and capable of doing the process calculations, membrane selection, filters selection etc. Hydraulic calculation, pressure drop calculation, line sizing ,Preparation of layout, PFD, P&ID, HFD, electrical load list and power consumption at different at different conditions with respect to tender/Contract guaranteed parameters.
