Larsen & Toubro Hiring for SP P&ID at Vadodara, Gujarat, India Full Time

Create designs and develop arrangement layouts of complex major equipment such as pressure parts, structural steel, casings, ducting , piping etc for supercritical Boilers based on the conceptual design of engineers. Also develop detailed/ manufacturing drawings based on the layout work.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (List of specific responsibilities)

• Develop most practical layout and arrangement by visualizing entire job from the standpoint of design strength, arrangement, and relationship of components to others. Recommend changes in design to simplify or improve basic designs.
• Check own drawings for accuracy, completeness, and practicality of manufacture, installation and maintenance.
• Review supplier and lower level drafter’s equipment drawings for conformance to customer specifications, approved practices, standards and codes governing that phase of work.
• Check computer input sheets utilizing applicable existing computer programs. Check and interpret computer feedback information as required.
• Responsible for instructing/training drafters in the technical details of drafting work.
• Responsible for reducing the recurrence of errors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED (Minimum formal academic requirements; amount and type of job-related experience; special skills and competencies)

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering or ITI with drafting specialisation.
• A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years drafting and design experience in fossil fuel fired boilers..
• A thorough knowledge of drafting principals applied to respective phase of work with CAD( Autocad / Microstation) experience is essential.
• Experience in PDS/PDMS/SP3D, Solid Edge, X- steel will be desirable
