Laundryheap Hiring for Team Lead, Fleet Operations at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Full Time

As Team Lead, your responsibility will be to add value to our growth activities by planning, developing, and implementing fleet operation strategies based on our company targets and objectives with the main goal of supporting and accelerating growth. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, organising the current fleet structure, promoting, and expanding the company’s operational activity that will organise and lead to sustainable growth.
We are looking for an experienced professional to work for us in our overseas office (Bengaluru, India). As we are an international brand working with different time zones, we would require the potential candidate to be flexible to work in shift patterns (to cater to multiple time zones across the globe) with us.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the fleet team of passionate and diverse people – championing a culture of inclusiveness and innovation
• Coordinate with relevant leads and specialists in different regions periodically to align and be in touch on company progress
• Defining goals and metrics on costs, and quality and leading the team towards meeting them
• Quality inspection and control on existing and future partner drivers. This would include managing their day-to-day gear quality, re-training;
• Work on quality targets of the fleet team along with the rest of the team members
• Overlooking the remote onboarding process and continuous improvement based on feedback
• Take ownership of improving partner driver retention globally
• Liaise with relevant specialists for van branding with Laundryheap livery on eligible partner driver vehicles
• Cross-team collaboration, to create and refine processes that result in achieving the desired outcomes faster and more efficiently
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the vision, goals, and priorities for fleet operations
• Generate regular reports on driver recruitment, retention, and quality aspects of all regions
• Build and scale the fleet team along with the business
• Explore automation and streamlining opportunities regularly to simplify processes and reduce TAT

Required skills:

• Exceptional communication abilities, written and verbal
• Experience having worked in startups is highly preferred
• Team management experience of having managed a team of 5-10 members at least and also team-building experience
• Logistics/Fleet Management experience is preferable
• Excellent analytical skills, advanced MS excel, google sheet skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed under stress
• Experience in partner operations management in the on-demand ecosystem is preferred
• Must be organized and proactive
• Willingness to work beyond a regular 9-5/ Monday-Friday pattern, being able to cater to multiple time zones across the globe
• Overall experience of 4-7 years
