Senior Management Accountant

Location: Bangalore (India)

Function: Finance

Reports to: Financial Controller

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Le Boat finance team, which is spread across the UK, France and Ireland. You will be involved in all aspects of accounting for our operations in Germany, Holland and Belgium, including management reporting and analysis, statutory accounts, VAT accounting and tax reporting. You will work with both the Le Boat finance team and wider Travelopia finance function, the operating bases and managers and local accountants.

What you will be doing:

As a Senior Management Accountant for Le Boat you will own all reporting and control for our German, Dutch and Belgium entities. You will own the full P&L and balance sheet. You will be responsible for:

• Monthly reporting and analysis, to include but not limited to:
  • Variance analysis against budget and forecast;
  • Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments,
  • Bank reconciliations,
  • Posting cash and other journals as necessary,
  • Capitalization and depreciation of fixed assets;

• Ensure accurate and timely VAT and other statutory returns prepared and submitted.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and review of peer balance sheet reconciliations.
• Statutory accounts schedules and submissions to local accountants in a timely manner.
• Audit liaison and provision of the necessary information.
• Ensuring compliance controls are in place and adhered to.
• Providing forecast input to the Finance Director for your entities.
• Working with base managers to understand the cost base and to control costs.
• Other projects and ad hoc work as required.

What we are looking for:

• Management accountant with significant prior experience of preparing and analysing monthly results;
• Prior experience of preparing forecasts and working with budget holders;
• Good knowledge of financial control and able to ensure processes are line with a good control environment;
• Good knowledge of VAT reporting;
• Happy to be hands but with the ability to look at the bigger picture and understand complex group structures;
• Proactive in finding solutions and happy to take ownership;
• A desire to continuously improve processes and knowledge;
• Excellent systems skills, intermediate Excel skills;
• Excellent attention to detail and a desire to get it right first time;
• Ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to work on your own or with a team and with excellent communications skills;
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
