Lend A Hand India Looking For Manager Skill Education at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Full Time

Job role as a Manager:

Responsible for coordinating state-level programs and managing a Project Management Unit based at Education Department. The manager will develop a strategic roadmap to execute the project, coordinate with the field staff monitoring and tracking, manage data collection, and coordinate with external parties (National Skill Development Corporration (NSDC), Sector Skill Councils, Vocational Training Providers, P.S.S. Central Institute of Vocational Education(P.S.S.C.I.V.E) and other components of the Education Department (Samagra Shiksha) for the successful delivery of vocational education project and to bring innovation in the project at the state level. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the State P.M.U. for effective implementation of the Vocational Education Program.
• Liaison and support Samagra Shiksha officials in planning, execution and monitoring of vocational education activities through the school academic year.
• Lead a team of P.M.U. Members to manage the day-to-day task, delegate responsibilities and execute assignments successfully on a key-turn basis.
• Develop a documentation plan with Standard Operating Procedures and ensure its implementation.
• Document and draft official letters and proposals, file notes, presentations, etc.
• Develop monitoring strategies and ensure timely implementation of program requisites.
• Develop Data processing systems, plan for data collection and reporting to provide data-based decision making.
• Budgeting and planning vocational education components for Samagra Shiksha and Lend A Hand India program.
• Organize and facilitate/lead meetings and events with multiple stakeholders.
• Coordination with various state departments and external parties (such as N.S.D.C., Sector Skill Councils, Vocational Training Providers, P.S.S.C.I.V.E., etc.) involved in the execution of vocational/skill education.
• Develop industry linkages and facilitate their active participation in the skill development efforts.
• Networking and advocacy with state and district administration and developing avenues for interdepartmental collaborations.
• Keep oneself updated with the latest schemes and govt. Programs relevant to the skill ecosystem.
• Facilitate departmental processes and arrangement of Internships and Job fairs.
• Collaborate with internal and other state team to use and share learnings and practices.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for Lend-a-Hand India’s presence in the state.
• Assist in the expansion of Lend-a-Hand India’s operations in the neighboring states.
• Lead teams of Project coordinators, Instructors and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Responsible to lead meetings and deliver presentations.
• Flexibility to travel within and across states (50 to 60% travel is a part of the job role)

Requirements

Desired Education background & Experience:

• Masters in Social Work, Public Policy, Management, etc.
• Proven interest and track record in the area of skill development
• Fluency in English and the official language of the respective state
• 7 to 10+ years of work experience (private sector/social enterprise/implementation of government schemes)
• Experience working with government agencies, especially at the state level
• Past Project management experience
• Experience working with senior management 

Process Competency:

• Local language proficiency (Speak, read, write)
• Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Preparation and utilization of M.I.S. systems.
