Job Description

Role: Senior Software Engineer / Software EngineerDepartment: Mobile App DevelopmentExperience: Overall 2 to 6 years of experience in Mobile TechnologiesNumber of openings: 2Core Responsibilities:

• Frame specifications based on a high-level understanding of the problem statement and develop the code.
• Develop, write, and implement software-programming applications following established architecture standards as well as software development and project management methodologies.
• Implementing low-level solutions for business problems.
• Write high-quality code using the guidelines and effectively debug the code.
• Document the code changes, package the code, and unit test it
• Perform code review of junior members
• Work with the application development team in delivering the project and deliverables within time and good quality
• Assess requirements for new and enhanced functionalities; identify the impact on existing applications, operating systems, hardware, and networks
• Perform unit testing, ensure quality assurance of applications through system testing
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies, trends and provides inputs/recommendations to the project manager or the architect as required
• Coordinate and communicate with the other tracks and disciplines involved in the project
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues

Investigate and resolve a technical issueTechnical Skillset:

• Proven knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Proven knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Knowledge of Flutter / React Native is a plus

Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycleKnowledge of Tools

• Strong knowledge of Android Studio, SQLite, native phone features such as camera, GPS, reading SMS/call logs, etc.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git TFS Bit Bucket, etc.
• Understanding of Google & Android design principles and interface guidelines
