Role Responsibilities
Support Windows 2008/2012, 2016 & 2019 server platforms, and images for multiple sites, utilized Active Directory/group policy, DNS, DHCP, RDS, etc. to support and secure clients.
Provided Level 3 & Level 4 support to troubleshoot deployment issues, Server hardware/software conflicts and client health issues.
Maintaining group compliance levels via Microsoft System Center Configurations Manager/IBM Bigfix and troubleshooting/remediate any issues.
System Center Operations manager/DataDog monitoring and fine tuning the space.
Create packages, collections and advertisements for software deployments.
Collaborate with application owners and business relation managers to gather requirements for application deployments/ongoing issues/critical challenges and sort them out.
Upgrade Core Server systems from 2008 R2 to Windows 2016 or higher
Administer (monitor, support, prevent, maintain, fix, improve) the virtual and physical VMware & HP blade infrastructure
Provide project support as required
Provide shift & weekend coverage and on call where required
Candidate profile / Key skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar technical field
Certified professional in Microsoft Windows Server Infrastructure
Minimum 5 years of working experience
Microsoft System Center Configurations Manager/System Center Operations manager/IBM Bigfix Knowledge
Knowledge on Virtualization technologies (VMware /Hyper-V)
HPE servers incl. HP Blades enclosures,
Excellent investigation and troubleshooting skills of complex issues
Capability to determine and highlight risks (migration risks, design risks etc.) to Management
Scripting/automation skills (Power Shell)
Operating System knowledge (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019)
