Efficiently lead the Audio team assigned to a project.
Conduct department meetings to update team members on best practices.
Set regular day-to-day goals and tasks for the Audio team.
Provide day-to-day feedback and evaluation of the team assigned to an event regularly.
Assist the top management with the hiring process and new/existing team member training.
Resolve conflicts as well as keep employees motivated and on-task.
Performance evaluation and recognition
Evaluate the performance of the Audio Team as per the annual evaluation plan.
Set goals for the individual members of the Audio team as part of the annual evaluation plan.
Decide salary increments and promotions based on the annual evaluation.
Planning
Attend regularly scheduled event office meets.
Identify, assess, and improve internal processes.
Assist the Manager in formulating strategies to identify new areas of revenue.
Strive to achieve successful event planning, interact with the client through the planning process and event execution.
Meet and liaise with clients, and artists to find out onsite requirements and ensure execution beyond their expectations.
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and compliance with all policies and procedures.
Effective Audio representative for the client during event execution.
Create and maintain audio libraries.
Design audio plans according to client specifications.
Assist the Manager in planning multiple events efficiently and concurrently.
Efficiently distribute the management of inventory in case of multiple events.
Ensure team members have the necessary company equipment with them all times.
Ensure event setup adheres to deadlines set by the client.
Communications
Contribute to the team with ideas and suggestions that helps in achieving the desired goal.
Explore new technologies, practices, and techniques in the industry and look to develop and share relevant skills with colleagues.
Provide constructive training and support to the members of the team.
Communicate accurate event timing schedule to the Audio team well in advance.
Liaise with the manager and external Audio engineer throughout the project.
Ensure that the event goes smoothly by effectively managing the team and by giving a comprehensive briefing.
Conduct a pre-setup briefing with all team members and communicate the client’s requirements.
Communicate crucial relevant information about event planning and execution to internal departments.
Communicate to the top management in case of inventory unavailability due to maintenance or repair issues that may cause a delay in the event planning and execution.
Ability to effectively communicate minor changes and alterations based on the client’s request.
Ability to understand the technical capability of Senior Audio Technician and effectively delegate tasks.
Revenue management
Maximize revenue generation by approaching a possible event lead.

Follow relevant SOP for outsourcing inventory to maximize profit and minimize costs.
Execute events within the allotted budget.
Assist in the invoicing process by making sure that all deliverables and additions are accounted for.
Maintain pre-event and post-event expenses by filling respective forms maintained by HR as per specified timelines.
Execution
Ensure appropriate health and safety guidelines are followed on site.
Ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery.
To be on-site and oversee the event setup and offer effective solutions to any issues.
To be flexible and capable of multi-tasking during an event.
Ensure rigging is carried out efficiently, and all cables and wires are safely concealed.
Carry out pre-dry run checks to prevent technical glitches during the event.
Ability to listen to audio from both a musical and a technical perspective, detect any deviation/malfunction, and be able to carry out necessary adjustments if and when required.
Assign microphones to a suitable level to ensure balanced sound during an event.
Play backing tracks and special effects during live events.
Select, position, adjust and operate the equipment used for amplification and live performances.
Monitor the performance of audio equipment to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions.
Ability to fulfill minor changes and alterations based on the client’s request.
Present a professional image to clientele, and ensure excellence in customer satisfaction.
Assist Lighting, Video, and Staging departments as and when required.
Post Event
Ensure the dismantling of the event set up in the venue is conducted efficiently and ensure it is safely transported away from the event location to the designated storage area.
Assist in loading/unloading of the equipment when required.
Analyze event performance and identify flaws.
Post-event all related equipment is cross-checked with the master inventory list to prevent any loss of equipment.
Maintenance and repairs
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the inventory management system.
Ensure periodical maintenance checks are carried out for all the audio equipment, and a safe and clean work environment is maintained.
Ensure timely follow-up with the service centers on the equipment sent out for service with regards to the cost, estimated delivery time, etc.
Report any case of equipment damages/malfunction/shortage to the Assistant Manager.
Purchases
Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in procurement related-processes and practices to improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness.
Update G-task when equipment is sent out for repairs or new equipment is needed to be ordered or collected from the supplier.
Source, select, and negotiate for the best product in terms of quality, price, delivery date, and services with the supplier.
Maintain a database of approved suppliers.
Ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints.
Track the status and review deliveries against the orders.
Ensure that all relevant purchase invoices are forwarded to the accounts for payment.
Dry hire
Ensure equipment are ready and available for dry hire as and when required.
Ensure incoming/outgoing inventory is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
Update G-task when equipment is sent out for dry hire.
Ensure that any equipment that is held up by a client for whatever reason is chased and followed up until received.
Receive equipment given on hire; confirm that the delivered equipment matches dry hire voucher details in terms of quantity, condition, model number, etc.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with Live sound.
Should be well versed with Band Gear and Tech Rider Setups.
Must be comfortable with Digital Mixers.
Should have good communication skills.
Applicants must be flexible with work timings.
Candidates with experience using SMAART are preferred.
