The Senior Manager – Marketing (API Domestic) will be responsible for overseeing and driving the marketing and business development strategies for the domestic market in the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) sector. This individual will manage customer relationships, expand the client base, drive sales, and work closely with suppliers, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and business growth.Key Responsibilities:Customer Relationship Management:- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers.- Identify and acquire new customers through online channels.- Keep clients updated with new products and offerings.- Regularly follow up with clients for orders, payments, and maintain proper records.Sales & Negotiation:- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate competitive prices and favorable payment terms.- Negotiate with clients on pricing, payment terms, and order execution.- Target and retain both existing and potential customers through digital communication platforms such as WhatsApp, email, and other relevant channels.Product & Market Development:- Work closely with clients to promote specific products, especially during stock availability.- Update exhibitors during trade shows or events with the company’s latest product list.Trade Show & Business Development:- Participate in major trade shows like CPHI and IPHEX to expand the company’s market presence and develop new business opportunities.- Cultivate and build relationships with prospects through initial outreach and follow-up.Competitive Analysis:- Monitor and analyze competitors’ activities, product offerings, and market trends to ensure the company remains competitive.- Regularly update and report competitor activities and strategies to senior management.Collaboration & Coordination:- Collaborate with the logistics department for freight and shipping coordination.- Liaise with other branches and ensure smooth communication and timely updatesReporting & Administrative Tasks:- Submit regular reports and updates to the GM/DGM on sales, marketing activities, and business performance.- Ensure timely reporting of key metrics, customer feedback, and sales outcomes.Travel & Market Intelligence:- Frequent travel to customer locations to build relationships and assess competitor activities.- Stay updated on market trends to maintain competitiveness in the global market.Key Skills & Qualifications:- Educational Qualification: [M.Pharma/MSc]- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in marketing and business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical/API sector.- Skills:- Strong negotiation and communication skills.- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
