Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

To design, develop and implement all electrical related features majorly on instrument cluster in a particular platform vehicle meeting all regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line.

Should have fair knowledge on display technologies including TFT,LCD with good enough idea of implementation knowledge for the same

Should have detail knowledge on circuits, interface and have decent knowledge on logic, software exection of instrument cluster

Should be able to develop complete cluster with limited guidance.

Should have complete understanding of existing/upcoming regulatory requirements for cluster/displays

Having other system knowledge is preferable and will be an added advantage

Initiate, design and develop design concepts to meet cost objectives, schedule, design parameters for system and component level..E&E parts mentioned above

Evaluate existing and new designs for compliance to internal and external standards and review designs for various governmental regulation compliance

Releasing all technical specification to suppliers for components/systems

Validating the components by making proper test cases in both component and vehicle level, testing in CAN, writing CAPL scipt and MATLAB model creation to give issue free product to customer,

Meeting the cost targets specified without compromising quality of the product and also bringing out some cost effective solution thro IMCR/VAVE activities.

Field failure & analysis: Analysing on field reported concerns and giving solution to reduce/eliminate it and also capturing that particular issue in upcoming products.

Should have knowledge on working of BOM details of components.

Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of tools used in DFMEA , problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools ,

Should have knowledge on DVP and to prepare delta DVP based on change contents

Qualifications

BE/B Tech Electrical Engineering

BE/B Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering

BE/B Tech Automobile engineering (in EE components packaging)

BE/B Tech Mechanical engineering with experience (in EE components packaging)

General Requirements

Interfacing with all inter dept teams right from marketing to service as so to start from understanding the marketing requirements and till service related activities. Ie from start to end of project

Knowledge and Awareness of dev agencies and testing at agency like ARAI / VRDe/I CAT

Awareness of vehicle technical symposiums, conference etc.,

Good knowledge on systems like design review’s/ DFMEA’s

Specialized, Technical Good knowledge on vehicle electrical system and interfacing parts.

Good knowledge of electrical circuits and basic knowledge on CAN/LIN kind of protocols

Awareness of other vehicle systems processes eg. Manufacturing, advance technology and knowing the details about other systems like ABS, Airbag,Body control module… etc to basic level

Maintaining quality level targets as per agreement

Very good knowledge in Cluster/displays

Good Vehicle system knowledge and E&E aggregates in the vehicle- Distribution system, Starting & Charging system, Lighting system and switches are added advantage
