Purpose of the Role:

The Corporate Operation Excellence (OPEX) Leader is primarily responsible for leading the Operation Excellence Deployment at different sites to develop an OPEX culture and to provide technical support to factories and coaching in OPEX processes to grow the process improvement capabilities of the business.

Qualification & Experience:

• Candidate should have TPM/Lean/Six Sigma implementation experience in manufacturing or packaging (FMCG) plants.
• Candidate should have experience in leading or coaching efficiency improvement projects in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of OEE calculations, Root cause analysis, 7QC tools & FMEA.
• The person should have handled manufacturing/ maintenance (or) manufacturing centric projects in Edible Oil refining / Oilseed crushing, and packaging.
• Working knowledge of sustainability (Renewable Energy and emission calculations).
• Working knowledge of basic manufacturing economics (MVC, losses, ROI etc).
• BE or equivalent in Mechanical engineering with experience of 4 – 5 years.

Key Deliverables of the Role:

• Identify and align OPEX Priorities, Goals and Objectives
• Work in collaboration with site leadership to identify and improve those areas most important to the sites
• Establish OPEX strategies, KPIs, priorities, project goals and assess results
• Provide regular and ongoing feedback regarding improvement opportunities to Site Leadership and to OPEX Leadership
• Coordinate, lead and execute improvement projects and initiatives in order to achieve business needs and objectives
• Conduct site evaluations (audits) of OPEX Standards’ proficiency as directed leadership
• Deliver business results:

a. Identify and eliminate process waste by continually driving improvement projects

b. Monitor progress of improvement projects by establishing reporting process metrics, and creating business performance scorecards for cost, performance and ROI

c. Use analytical/critical thinking, information analysis, problem resolution skills

• Develop OPEX Capability

a. Development of OPEX capability within the sites through training of all site members.

b. Continuous assessment and recommendation to site leadership of people to receive further OPEX training and opportunities.
