Responsibilities:
Costing, negotiations and development of new parts. Should meet project schedules; interact with different agencies within the company.
Meet cost reduction targets by VA-VE; Yield improvement, inner parts localization, Annual price negotiations etc.
MIS reporting activities, budget making, vendor capacity assessment etc.
Capacity planning with suppliers for meeting increasing/fluctuating requirements based on the marketing demand.
Identification of global vendors to create competition/introduce new technology
Rationalization of vendor layout on the basis of Business Over Time
Development monitoring to meet Trial schedules and timely settlement of Engg. Changes
