Position Summary:

Specialist, Product Management

As a Specialist, Product Management/Data Product Analyst within McDonald’s EDAA team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-impact data products that serve both central and market teams across the global business. You will work across use cases such as forecasting, workforce planning, financial reporting, and customer analytics. Ensuring our data products are accurate, usable, explainable, and trusted.

You will partner with engineering, data science, and UI/UX teams, as well as business SMEs, to ensure our data products deliver measurable value, supporting planning and decision-making in a highly complex organization.

Who we’re looking for:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and refining product strategies, roadmaps, and feature definitions.
• Conduct user research, market analysis, and gather competitive intelligence to support data product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, UX, engineering, analytics) to gather, define, and document business and user requirements.
• Translate business needs into data requirements and ensure data integrity and usability in reporting solutions.
• Support the design and development of dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Power BI.
• Monitor product performance, analyze user behavior, and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to product testing, quality assurance, and validation of data solutions.
• Help prepare business cases, product documentation, user guides, and stakeholder reports.
• Assist in user training and support customer engagement activities to drive adoption of data products.
• Act as an active backup to the Product Manager, supporting backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in product management, business analytics, or data product development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI).
• Strong data storytelling skills: able to translate complex findings into simple, compelling narratives.
• Experience working with market teams to gather localized needs and insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across geographies and functions.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices; experience working in a scrum team is a plus.
• Educational background in Data Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
