Role Summary:
McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to help drive this transformation as the Sr. Manager, General Category Sourcing within the Corporate Support Sourcing team. This key position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies across a wide array of corporate spend subcategories including marketing, travel, corporate events, certain corporate real estate and facilities, financial services, HR services and benefits, temp labor, and other corporate support, ensuring that we maximize McDonald’s value through strategic sourcing and vendor management.
This role will be responsible for executing global sourcing efforts within these categories, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver value. The Senior Manager will also contribute to driving continuous innovation and improvements within the sourcing process to support broader business priorities.
Sourcing Operations: Oversee the execution of sourcing activities within marketing, travel, corporate events, certain corporate real estate and facilities, financial services, HR services and benefits, temp labour, and other corporate support ensuring processes are followed and deadlines are met.
Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, providing insights and contributing to tailored sourcing strategies that deliver value across the McDonald’s global organization.
Support Category Strategy Execution: Assist the Manager in implementing category strategies by ensuring that day-to-day activities align with strategic goals and objectives.
Process Adherence: Ensure that all sourcing processes, including RFx execution, vendor selection, and contract management, are followed consistently and effectively.
Data Management & Reporting: Support data collection and reporting for sourcing activities, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities are aligned with business needs and deliver value.
Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of suppliers and the sourcing team, ensuring that KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Risk & Compliance Awareness: Assist in identifying risks and ensuring that sourcing activities comply with McDonald’s policies and standards
