We at Media.Monks are powering the next generation of film production with cutting edge technology known as Virtual Production and we are looking to expand our team on this exciting adventure! With Virtual Production, we aim to bring photo-realistic quality in real-time rendering with live film production.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

• Capture Software: Reality Capture or Mesh Room, Autodesk ReCap, COLMAP, etc
• Experience in either Blender, Cinema4D, Maya
• Lightroom for primary delighting / normalization of color / lighting ranges
• Zbrush for Low poly creation and cleanup
• UV Unwrapping in the software of choice
• Texturing and look development experience in digital humans and photoreal environments or assets
• Shader building for photoreal assets/characters

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with art directors and artists to understand their requests.
• Deliver relevant high-quality scans and assets for Virtual Production.
• Clean-up assets, optimize them and ready for production
• Provide input in tool development and improve pipelines to ensure the best results from our production workflows and processes. Familiar with the latest techniques in machine-assisted or automated content.
• Work with the team organizing, documenting, and maintaining workflows and processes used through the photogrammetry pipeline.
• Ensure scan data maintains the highest quality possible.
• Discuss and plan possible scan locations with the Art Department.
• Operate, refine, and maintain proprietary scan equipment.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and research ongoing in the field.
• Knowledge of development software (Houdini, Substance, Zbrush, 3D Max, Maya, Photoshop)
• Knowledge of PBR workflows.

Good to have

• Experience using Unreal Engine for presentation
• Experience using Substance designer for baking / delighting / maps extraction
• Substance painter for manual filling in missing data
