Within the Digital Health & AI R&D Engineering group, the Senior Software V&V Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to support Health Informatics and Monitoring products currently in the market as well as New Product Development efforts with an emphasis towards Software Design Verification and Validation.
The Senior Software V&V Engineer will be responsible for working with key Stakeholders, Systems, and Development engineers (both local and remote) to identify, create, review, document, and formally execute manual and automated web based, android and iOS tests based on medical standards within an agile framework. Also looking for engineers who can drive change and innovation within the test organization to ensure the highest quality of software is provided in an ever-changing environment.
A Day in the Life

• Work with local and remote team of engineers in the creation, review, documentation, and formal execution of tests (both automated and manual) based on software requirements and documented APIs
• Work with key project, program, and development engineers to understand scope, resources, and timing in an agile environment for new and innovative medical device software therapies
• Be a key team member in identifying and driving innovation and strategy with respect to software testing methods and techniques
• Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation (e.g. data-driven testing)
• Work with Development Engineers and Test Engineers using risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain and execute nightly automated functional, regression and performance test suites
• Provide technical guidance to junior level test engineers and/or off-shore test engineers assigned to automation team
• Work within project teams to complete product testing on time and within budget.
• Perform regression analysis/testing and associated documentation on existing products undergoing change in design or manufacturing process.
• Accurately estimate tasks and track/communicate progress for software verification and validation efforts
• Maintain and manage processes to ensure that computer labs are setup, tested and ready for use
• Review/Develop automation test plans to ensure that lab configurations meet requirements
• Provide support for new project setup and troubleshooting for lab hardware, software, application
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

Must Have
Minimum Qualification

• 10+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing.
• B.E B.Tech M.E M.Tech in Computer Sciences, Electronics, Electrical Engineer or similar related field
• Experience with mobile and web-based application testing
• Deep understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, verification and validation techniques, defect tracking tools and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in product design and project planning
• Experience working with R&D engineers and cross functions to establishunderstand project scope and duration
• Experience with medical device software testing (especially per IEC 62304)
• Experience with task management tools (e.g. Jira, Helix, Polarion)
• Experience using version control systems (e.g. Perforce, Git, Subversion)
• Excellent understanding of standard test automation frameworks and architectures.
• Experience with the design, development, enhancement and maintaintemance of enterprise level automation frameworks using Selenium, Test Complete, Appium etc.,
• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining automated tests within a fast paced Agile development environment
• Working experience with enterprise level performance testing methodologies, tools and techniques such as LoadwebUI, SoapUI, Load Runner, etc.,
• Experience with database development and testing—SQL
• Experience working with VM’s and Clould infrastructure
• Experience with continuous integration environments and tools such as Jenkins
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative in accomplishing objectives
• Strong organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Attention to detail & thoroughness
• Strong written and verbal communication including ability to clearly articulate design concepts
• Able to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with FDA regulations and recommended practices, especially regarding software.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 and other relevant industry standards
• Familiarity with Agile/TDD development processes
• Working knowledge of networking-TCP/IP communications and understanding of routers and switches
• Proficiency in installing and setting up desktops and servers
