• 3-6 years of overall industry experience
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in Wiring Harness Design & Development

– Understanding of functioning of various control systems, ECUs, Electrical- Electronic functions inside the Passenger cars.

• Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, Connector, electrification, DMU, packaging, and related Engineering requirements.
• Technical expertise of vehicle Schematics development.
• Awareness of relevant Legal requirements and system level functions and Testing.
• Understanding of Product development process & Project timelines
• Experience in engineering Supplier governance.
• Experience of handling field issues, idea generation & problem solving.
• Strong inter-personal skills to work effectively with Suppliers & cross functional teams across the globe.
• Strong in technical Decision-making.
• Awareness of future technological advancement in Wiring Harness development such as Battery, High Voltage will be an added advantage.
• German language skills & global project experience is an added advantage
• Experience of working on MB norms, standards & processes will be an added advantage
• Additional Advantage: CAD Tool: Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, PREEVision
• Awareness of PLM systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Technical Leader & Technical expert for Wiring Harness Development for Mercedes Benz Car Group
• Responsible for Technical Decision Making.
• Guide/steer the team members through various Technical maturity milestones.
• Achieve the highest level of technical maturity at Wiring Harness team.
• Create next level of Technical experts at Wiring Harness Team.
• Supplier Governance for various projects and related suppliers at Mercedes Benz Car Group.
• Ensure all functional and system level targets are met as per the Component Specifications.
• Close co-ordination with Wiring harness team colleagues & cross functional teams at Mercedes Benz Car Group.
• Take Technical release responsibility for the Wiring Harness team topics with CFT.
• Packaging Study & analysis of responsible parts in the Vehicle
• Support team Management to achieve team level targets.
