About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive, experienced recruiter who specializes in hiring R&D scientists with expertise in cell culturing, molecular biology, and biotechnology research. This is a high-impact, field-engaged role focused on building scientific teams across India while working closely with internal stakeholders at the site level.

The ideal candidate should not only bring deep domain knowledge in scientific hiring but also be comfortable walking into different departments to coordinate directly with technical leads and hiring managers to ensure effective hiring execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and recruit R&D Scientists with core expertise in cell culture, molecular biology, biotechnology, and related domains.
• Engage with hiring managers and technical teams to understand and translate complex scientific job requirements.
• Design and execute Pan-India recruitment strategies using LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, and scientific networks.
• Screen and assess candidates based on technical competencies, including wet lab practices, aseptic techniques, and domain relevance.
• Walk into various departments across the facility to build relationships, coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and accelerate hiring outcomes.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle – sourcing, screening, coordination, offer rollout, and onboarding.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in scientific/biotech/pharma recruitment.
• Strong understanding of scientific concepts like cell culture, fermentation, biologics, etc.
• Proven ability to recruit for lab-based R&D roles in pharma, biotech, or CRO environments.
• Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search methods, and industry-specific sourcing.
• Must be comfortable walking into different departments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders on the ground.
• Educational background in Life Sciences companies is preferred (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotech, Microbiology, etc.).

Preferred Qualities:

• Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple mandates simultaneously.
• Experience working in or recruiting for high-tech R&D environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
• Well-networked within scientific communities and research institutions across India.
