Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, maintainable and reusable code that follows proven development principles

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define product requirements for a scenario and ideate on potential solutions that meet user needs

• Lead architecture discussions and write technical design specifications for scalable, high-quality solutions that span multiple applications

• Write and document comprehensive testing strategies to ensure a high degree of code quality for a system

• Identify opportunities to optimize the quality and performance of complex systems and propose engineering initiatives to address such concerns

• Collaborate across functional teams to resolve complex system integration challenges and deliver high quality solutions from concept to release

• Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to help develop less experienced engineers on the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

• 8+ years of experience as a professional software engineer developing and shipping production systems

• 4+ years of experience in modern web application design, development using React, Redux frameworks.

• 4+ years of experience with unit, integration, and e2e testing usingJest,Enzyme,React Testing Library,Selenium,Cypress, or similar technologies

• Solid CS fundamentals, experience in building scalable, secure, high-performance products and services

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills and the ability to coach and develop fellow engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in modern JavaScript features including but not limited toarrow functions,destructuring,async/await, andgenerators

• Deep knowledge of and experience with React features including but not limited tofunction components,context,hooks, andrefs

• Solid understanding of functional programming paradigms

• Experience developing with middle layer technologies such asexpressjs,GraphQL, andRESTful APIs

• Experience working in large, distributed systems

• Proven track record in shipping software on time with high quality

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with product managers, designers and other engineers in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

• Experience and success in working with ambiguity and taking risks

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
