About the company: Greetings from Miko! We are an advanced robotics start-up headquartered in Mumbai. The Company was founded in January 2015, by three IIT Bombay Post-graduates, M/s Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar, and Chintan Raikar, on the pillars of robotics, AI, and IoT. We make Miko series of robots designed to engage, educate, and entertain kids. Our latest offering, Miko 2, is an advanced personal robot for kids, powered by cutting-edge features such as a proprietary emotional intelligence machine, TeleConnect, and has self-initiated conversational abilities, obstacle & edge sensing, and more. Miko is currently sold in over 90 countries. The interdisciplinary team coming from different engineering verticals like software, electronics, embedded, industrial, Robotics AI and Mechanical engineers, mathematicians, UI/UX designers, knowledge partners, and neuropsychologists. Our mission is to solve the unmet needs of society with the help of robotics, AI, and IoT, and to humanize technology. About the internship/job: Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Perform research on a product to be developed 2. Perform design, testing, and manufacturing for the same 3. Perform prototyping which is close to the final design 4. Design systems and components that meet requirements 5. Visualize the product or its components through freehand sketching 6. Conduct experiments, analyze results, and interpret the same 7. Perform the required hand or theoretical calculations 8. Evaluate the final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety 9. Alter and modify the design to meet the periodical requirements 10. Perform drafting for the designs made with GD&T for the same 11. Prepare BOM for the design made 12. Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods Who can apply: Only those students or freshers can apply who:

• have relevant skills and interests
• can start the internship between 30th Dec’20 and 3rd Feb’21
• are available for duration of 6 months
• have already graduated or are currently in any year of study

Other requirements: Any technical bachelor’s degree 1 – 2 years of working experience in prototyping or manufacturing 1 – 2 years of experience with CAD (Solidworks, Catia V5, or similar) 1 – 2 years of working experience in CAE is an added criterion Familiarity with analyzing tools like ANSYS, Hyperworks, or similar Knowledge in mathematical computing and analysis tools like MS Excel or similar Understanding the core concepts of mechanics, kinematics, and dynamics Creativity and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to communicate the technical knowledge in a clear and understanding manner to the team Number of internships/jobs available: 2 Categories: Engineering,Mechanical
