Key Competencies

Understanding of ITIL Service Management Foundation, experience working within SLA’s and Ticketing
Experience of working in any ticketing tool
Effecting communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional Team in IT infrastructure support
Team handling experience

Essential Skills:
Experience with Veritas Netbackup 8.x or above
10+ years strong experience in Veritas NetBackup administration
troubleshooting skills and ability to identify the severity of the issue
Documentation and Presentations skill
Execute Backup and restore in a virtualized infrastructure – VMware
Proficient with Advance backup functions like Oracle DB backup, NDMP backups, VMware VADP backup, SQL backup, exchange backup
Good knowledge about disk storage unit and MSDP storage unit
Adequate understanding of SLP (storage life cycle policies)
Must be good with Unix file handling commands
Should be able to isolate and troubleshoot basic backup failure cause Network, port, and Connectivity
In-depth Policy Management/Creation/modification skills
Must act as mentor for team.
Good knowledge of NetBackup appliances
