Role and Responsibilities.
A Homologation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the process of obtaining government certification for vehicles of Future Mobility Segment.
· A broad Technical Background with Solid understanding of regulations and standards related to vehicle certification and demonstrated experience in Compliance, Testing, and TYPE Approval Certification on level of components, whole vehicle level.
· Responsible to conduct ICAT/ARAI Testing on Vehicle Level Type Approval successfully.
· Coordinating with Suppliers to ensure that Components meet ARAI/ICAT certification requirements.
· Preparing and submitting Documentation for certification.
· Collaborating with Engineers and other professionals to make design changes to vehicles and components to meet certification requirements
· Study government standards like AIS, BIS, EU, UL, etc. for 2W (BOV) / 3W (BOV) category of vehicles. Update the team for changes and assess change impact.
· Participate in tests.
· Assisting to specify appropriate Targets.
· Preparation of Detail Homologation requirement matrix / target book documents specific to the project, as per vehicle specifications, features, timelines.
· Homologation Budget planning and execution.
· Co-ordinate, Track internal pre-CMVR Homologation tests including component level certification.
· Following up with regulators to ensure that certification is granted in a timely manner.
· Managing relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders involved in the certification process.
· Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to certification.
· Staying current on new and emerging technologies and trends in the automotive industry
· Document the work in ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 framework.
Qualification Requirements : B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical
Quality of Experience: – Min. 3 years of Experience in Vehicle Testing. – Overall Min. 5 year’s industry experience in automobile.
