Position Description: Closing and Post-closing Trainer

Location : Bangalore, India

Reporting To : Assistant Manager-L&D

Shift Timing : Night Shift

Work location : Work form Office & Home (Hybrid)

Job Role : Deliver foundational and process-specific training in closing, post-closing and title services and evaluate the trainee performance. Much of the role will entail all L&D-specific tasks, from content creation to designing and delivering comprehensive training programs to batches of all sizes. The training engagements will include participants ranging from novices to experienced staff.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Must be able to train staff on the foundations of the US mortgage industry.
• Must come with strong domain expertise in closing, post-closing, and title concepts.
• Priority Requirement: Must come with strong experience in working in encompass.
• Must be able to deliver training on basic concepts in closing, post-closing, and title.
• Must have fostered training experience in both in-person and virtual.
• Have a strong understanding of the loan estimate and closing disclosure.
• Should come with a solid understanding of reviewing Lender CD, matching the fees, and entering the charges into the client system. Additionally, must also be able to prepare closing documents and check for completeness and contingencies.
• Come with deep knowledge of reviewing various recording documents, identifying closing-related documents, and various fields within each of those documents.
• Have a wide understanding of loan conditions and the supporting information or documents to remediate conditions set by underwriters prior to releasing closing documents.
• Be able to review and provide clarity on the question/condition set by the settlement agent and title company prior to and on the date of closing.
• Be able to identify and implement changes post the application of Mavent.
• Should have exposure to the post-closing domain and processes such as Loan delivery, warehousing, condition clearing, Shipping, Trailing docs, TRID audit, MERS, Review Tax, Insurance and reserve Audits, TRID review, and post-closing closing disclosure review.
• Must be aware of and be able to train staff in compliance, regulatory standards, and guidelines.
• Should have exposure to title services across functions such as title search and examination (National and regional), and curative.
• Should have exposure to tools used in the title industry, such as Netronline, DataTrace, DataTree, Title Point, Pacer, etc
• Must have experience in training teams, transitions & and operations management.
• Be proficient at Creating training materials, including presentations, manuals, and job aids, to support the learning and development of mortgage closing team members.
• Coordinate with various functions for the execution of training responsibilities.
• Create Training content in PPT, Word, and E learning tools.

Required Technical Skills:

• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (esp. MS Excel) suite of products skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent people management and stakeholder management

Qualification and Experience:

• Should be a graduate in any domain (any Learning and development-related course or certification will be a plus)
• Should come with a minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience in learning and development.
