Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Delivery manager to work on various Microsoft and Java-based technology delivery projects.

Candidates will work with UK and US clients and there will be opportunities to work in the UK or US once proven track record is established.

Scope:

Ensures software planning, tracking and oversight activities and resources are in place and adequate for project needs. Manages software project management on three levels: sprint, iteration and complete timeline. Responsible for the management of all software deliveries for one or more projects for a particular customer within timelines and quality. Responsible for measuring and analyzing metrics and for taking necessary corrective / preventive actions within the project. Continuous interaction with the customers to build their awareness of customer expectations for different projects.

Key Accountability

• Moderates creation of end to end project plan, sets direction and influences inter-department engagement for program execution. Tracks progress of the projects against the plan and provides regular program reporting to senior leadership.
• Ensures decisions and directions affecting the project are communicated to the affected stakeholders. Involves necessary stakeholders in support of successful project delivery of software.
• Ensures coordination and alignment of software plans with CRE (PD) organization – HW, System and Validation.
• Manages program risk proactively, identifying risks and coordinating meetings with different teams/functions to address and escalate further as necessary.
• Realign the plan as needed to meet the program milestones and deliveries.
• Provides oversight to the creation and execution of internal and external software commitments and ensures that those commitments are met.
• Ensures reporting to Senior Client Delivery Lead on execution progress, including problems, delays and risks.

• Responsible for forecasting project skill and capacity demands. Responsible for entire software budget and resource plan creation for the project(s). Ensures constant monitoring of required software skills and capacity vs. assigned skills and capacity.
• Defines budget and targets as part of project plan, optimizing resources and cost to meet the targets set. Develops cost control measures to handle deviations, tracks project changes to estimate the impact on cost of the changes.
• Creates and reports the cost metrics as part of the project scorecard.

• Sets and tracks the progress on the quality targets. Drives to ensure all the quality steps in the project development are conducted.
• Forecasts and monitors SW delivery maturity of the project(s) and ensures right measures are applied in case of deviations.
• Responsible for sharing Project’s Lessons Learned. Support SW development organization with 3rd party supplier management activities

Capability building for the software delivery team

Works to ensure a high level of product and requirements knowledge for each member of the software project delivery team. Ensures high level of project management skills, excellent understanding of the customer specific requirements and good level of understanding of software development team capabilities for the software project delivery team members.

Allocates the software project delivery team resources to assigned projects, incl. load balancing.

Works to build the capabilities – maintaining skills and obtaining training for the software project delivery team. Works to ensure best practices and lessons learned are shared between different projects for the same customer. Supports deploying of best practices and lessons learned on project level.

• Key Experience required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 5 to 10 years of automotive software development and delivery experience
• 5+ years of experience in software project management roles
• 5 years of experience in leading teams as a lead engineer
• Experience of managing distributed development teams is preferred
• Good knowledge of software development life cycle, agile methodologies

Salary: ₹150,000.00 – ₹250,000.00 per month
