Job Profile

The Public Cloud Transformation Services (PCTS) team is responsible for accelerating public cloud adoption throughout Morgan Stanley. This is a global, multi-discipline team responsible for architecting and delivering secure, robust, and innovative solutions which enable development teams to build and deploy new applications as well as migrate select existing applications into the public cloud.

This role is for a cloud engineer who will focus on automating and onboarding services on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and experience building cloud service automations in support of applications migrating to Azure.

Skill Set

Skills Required
– 10 Experience with the Azure Platform, common Azure services and Azure CLI/ Powershell
– Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or ARM
– Demonstrated experience working within an Agile/DevOps environment
– Background in Application Development in Java/Python/.Net and/or data (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data)
– Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
– Strong communication and collaboration skills
– Desire to work with development teams and help them adopt public cloud
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization and across time zones
– Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and orally, to diverse audiences.

Skill Desired
– Experience setting up and using CI/CD, especially with Azure DevOps.
– Experience with other cloud providers such as AWS
– Good understanding of cloud security controls and frameworks and experience building them
– Knowledge, awareness and contributions to open source projects is a plus.
