Overview on Wealth Management
Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business.
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (WM) is a product of the acquisition of Smith Barney from Citigroup, which was completed in June ‘13. Its core client base is individual investors, small- to medium-size businesses and institutions, and high net worth families and individuals.
In the second half of ‘14, WM reached a milestone, with its business having surpassed $2 trillion in total client assets.
This position is for a Senior Developer for Wealth Management Client Channels Technology at Morgan Stanley’s Bangalore India offices. The charter of this team is to develop tools & services that provide functionality to wealth management clients. Working as a member of this team, the candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting reactive applications, web services, data stores and some web-based User Interfaces.
We are seeking a Java Developer with 5+ years of work experience in designing, developing, and testing multi-tier systems.

Position Overview:
As part of a strategic vision, we are extending our platforms to cater to various workflow automations and STP integration with the various firm systems. We are developing this state of art system to scale up and support current platform for BAU activities and at the same to build the new platform to support the target state architecture. We are putting lot of investment in architecture, design and some of the best practices in coding to ensure we deliver high quality products and want to make sure we retain the knowledge and experience. As we are investing a lot to build our future platform it is important to invest on our resources that will have knowledgebase and experience. This is part of the strategic multi-year initiative to provide scale to business.

Role & Responsibilities
Work as a VP owning the end to end delivery for several systems / projects with the person being hands on Java developer in Field and Workflow Service MSAS, India. He would be responsible to provide stable technical solution which is robust and scalable as per business needs.
Work closely with Business analysts and other IT partners on dayto-day basis to ensure smooth delivery of projects
Ensure that system architecture and integration design standards are in alignment with broader platform strategies and business goals.
Provide handson code development and testing based on the project delivery needs.
Work on integration with various systems and java end to end solutions.
Provide the right design patterns and enterprise level scalable features
Introduce out of box approaches for various business problems using the latest technology of ML and AI for better feedback loops
Manage teams of 5 to 10 people
Work under pressure to deliver quality solutions for business

QUALIFICATIONS
Primary Skills / Must have
Work experience primarily with building enterprise serverside applications using J2EE Technologies
Excellent Core Java, Spring and programming skills
Good Design skills (Design Patterns)
10+ years with handson experience Java/JEE , Spring, ORM / Hibernate, XML, XPath, XSLT, Web services RESTful, Webserver (Apache Tomcat preferred), AngularJS
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Junit, JProfiler/Jprobe (any profiling tool)
Unix or Linux development
Secondary Skills / Desired skills
Good understanding / experience in the following technologies would be a plus
Proficient with a database (preferably DB2), including modelling and DB performance tuning
Test driven development
BPM knowledge on any open source or IBM BPM
Exposure to financial industry
Source control (preferably Git) and continuous Integration tools
