Technology and Operations Risk’s mission is to deliver first-line defenses to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to Morgan Stanley’s technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally compliant manner. The Authentication and Identity Management (AIM) fleet within Technology & Operational Risk (TOR) division engineer’s authentication and identity solutions for the Firm. The product portfolio includes home-grown software as well as 3rd party vendor products and open source solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can develop and maintain enterprise scale applications to support the various identity and authentication platforms owned by the team.

Job Profile

Morgan Stanley is seeking a software engineer to build and maintain enterprise scale applications to support the identity and authentication platforms. The ideal candidate has strong web development skills with good problem solving and communication skills.

• The candidate will be responsible for the engineering, development, and integration of web security systems.
• Strong focus on designing and architecting high performing and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Develop, test, implement and maintain application in the related version control tool and adhere to the best practices for code check-in and checkout.
• Develop unit test cases for the code developed and execute thorough testing before promoting the code to higher environments
• Taking ownership of implementing coding best practices and adhering to industry standard code quality.
• Steering and supporting global team through consistent Agile and DevOps adoption.

Skills Set

Required Skill:

• 4 years of software development experience with as many of the Full-stack technologies (Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML) and REST API development.

• Solid understanding of Python Object-Oriented design and programming concepts.

• Experience with full software development cycle including testing and automated deployment.

• Experience in building scalable microservices / webservices.

• Experience in Public Cloud development.

• Collaborate with team members in design reviews, development, and code reviews.

• Good understanding of Unix / Linux family of operating systems and system administration

• Comfortable of working as an integral member of a global organization with team members, and stakeholders in different regions across Asia, EMEA and North America.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with moderate to large scale enterprise architectures.
• Active interest and familiarity in Identity, authentication, and Information Security.
• Familiarity with modern authentication standards such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2.0 and SAML.
• Familiarity working with LDAP and Kerberos standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 to 6 years in Full Stack development
