We have an opening of Value Stream leader in a renowned leading MNC Teier 1 Automotive company.

Job location- Pune

Qualification and Skills: – B E (Mechanical or Production) with 5-6 years of experience in Machine Shop Production Department

Very good verbal & written communication skills, especially languages like Marathi, English and

Hindi.

Knowledge of Induction Hardening along with CNC machines and Machining shop is essential.

Basic Lean Knowledge (Safety, 5S, Standardized work, TPM, Kanban etc.)

Role Purpose

Available to work in all the shifts under the supervision of the Value Stream Manager to achieve the targets of the key performance indicators in line with the organizational goals. He should be

responsible to achieve the key production targets shift wise Safety ,Quality, Delivery, Productivity,

Cost as well as shop floor discipline in the shift .He should be responsible to manage the team

leaders ,OEs at shop floor in line with the support departments team .

Key Responsibilities

1. He Should be the first collaborator of the production manager to achieve the target in terms of

Monthly, Weekly & daily Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery.

2. Manage his own resources (People & Machines) to assure the execution of the production

plan 100%

3. Facilitate his team leaders in their activities effectively to achieve daily targets.

4. In consultation with VSM, develop training plan for working team Leaders & OEs.

5. Responsible for new hiring & distribution among working team Leader.

6. Drive continuous improvement through Gemba kaizen (Rejection reduction, productivity

improvement, OEE Improvement, People productivity etc…)

7. Drive 5S culture through continuous improvement during Gemba walk.

8. Responsible to Update all the required Production documents shift wise.

9. Should be Responsible for implementation of the kaizens and Poka-yoke at Gemba, also

ensure people involvement for doing these activities.

10. Monitor and improve the behaviour of the people in terms of quality & safety.

11. Ensure no activity is undertaken which could cause a danger to others.

12. Identify potential risks and advice these to Manager/Platform Supervisor in order to eliminate

the potential danger

13. Report Potential hazards and defects observed at the workplace.

14. Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be

affected by what they do or do not do

15. Support the Escalation Process and quick problem resolution.

16. Update the visual boards, checking all the visual documentation of the area.

17. Coordinate the team meeting effectively.
