Role

 Responsible for category planning and management, and driving business outcomes

 A comprehensive role which involves all aspects of business – Operating plan development,

financial planning, range planning, P&L management, inventory management and sales

execution

Responsibilities

 Business planning and category management for a large portfolio

 Range, Assortment and OTB Planning

Assortment Planning – Data Analysis, Insights Generation, Options Planning (Width,

Depth)

 Sales and Inventory Management

Planning for the inventory flow / DOH for entire category
Category Health Management – STRs, DOH, Ageing, Portfolio Mix of Core / Fashion;

Review and Course Corrections

Monthly Sales planning and execution – coordination with sales and marketing teams
P&L metrics tracking

 Team / Stakeholder Management – Working closely with buying, sourcing, brand, sales and

planning teams for delivery of business plans

 Projects– Driving key initiatives / projects for category growth and profitability improvement

across supply chain, planning, sales, etc.; Process Improvement across the value chain

Qualifications & Experience

 4-7 years of experience in category management;

 Some experience in fashion retail / brand management sector is preferred

 Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Strong with

numbers and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data

 MBA from a top tier institute

 Strong experience and skills in cross functional stakeholder management
