Nike Hiring for Senior Software Engineer, Data Warehouse – GAP at Bangalore, India Full Time

WHAT YOU BRING

• BS/MS in CS, a related field or equivalent experience

• 3+ years’ developing software systems that operate at scale

• 2+ years’ experience with RDBMS systems

• 2+ years’ with modern CI/CD pipeline patterns (Git)

• Teradata expertise (MUST):

• DB system design

• Strong DB architecture knowledge

• Database security – roles, users, authentication

• Administration

• Snowflake and Redshift(Good to have)

• Strong coding experience in Python

• Strong experience in AWS

• Informatica and/or other ETL tools

• Cognos / Tableau

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Data Warehouse(Teradata). This role is part of Global Architecture & PaaS, GAP aggressively innovates solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

We are building and supporting petabyte-class solutions that consume fast moving streams from eCommerce, retail and partner channels to power the critical decisions that drive our business. You will be a key part of Nike’s Digital Transformation initiative to help deliver efficient data access, reliable data warehousing platforms, enhanced compliance and reduced risk. We’re hiring a Senior Engineer with talent and persistence who can leverage their existing skills and learn new ones.  You should have extensive experience in many of the specific technical skills we’re looking for and be expert enough to help ramp up others quickly.

• Be an active self-starter and quick learner

• Be a great teammate on an agile/SCRUM team that sets and meets aggressive goals

• Exercise ownership over large cross team coordinated efforts

• Mentor new and less experienced developers to advance their proficiency

• Leverage expert development skills and solid design skills to deliver reliable, scalable, performant solutions with modern tooling, data structures and algorithms

• Work with Product Owners, Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers to deliver solutions that enable Nike’s digital transformation
