About NTAM Invest Ops•The NTAM Invest Ops group acts as a bridge between the front end and the back end of Investment Operations supporting & servicing the Portfolio management teams across different geographies. Our focus is on controlled, centralized and uninterrupted support for functions that extend beyond those encompassed within the front and back offices. The India NTAM Invest Ops group is comprised of 3 business units (Client Administration, Investment Administration and Portfolio Administration) who partner with each other to ensure the needs of NTAM Clients are met•The NTAM Invest Ops department serves as a COE and are at the forefront of leading, testing & implementing various projects across the larger NTAM departmentSUMMARY•The individual is responsible for completion of day –to-day activities as per the work q assigned by the Associate Consultant and or Team Lead, Follow the process guidelines diligently in completing the functions well within the deadline, record and maintain the work register diligently, and update daily stats mandatorily•Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for The primary focus of this role will be to support the Fixed Income and Equity Portfolio Management group, with additional support to the Equity Research desk in the overall management of their accounts & additional support provided to the Trading Desk. The role will report into the dotted line Head of the NTAM Front Office Support Team in London and functionally to the Manager/Team Leader at NOS •Responsible for supporting the Client, Sales & Customer Service teams. On-board, Maintain and Off board clients•Responsible for the process and the data across the Client, Account & Product databases•Responsible for client invoicing oversight•Responsible for client communications and working directly with Client Servicing to obtain adequate information•Aggregate large trade estimates in spreadsheets to provide pre-notification of cash flows such as Separately managed accounts & funds to portfolio managers•Serve as the liaison between the portfolio management and outsourced teams to resolve any data issues•A Collaborative effort to support and service the Portfolio managers, account managers & trading desk. Daily review of positions and start of day cash forms the crust of the deliverables•Assist the outsourced Operations group with exception resolution and failed trade assistance•Ensure trades such as CD,CPs, REPOs ,T-Bills , FXs & Derivatives originated by the Front Office are properly routed for matching and confirmation in a timely manner•Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact•Need to have a direct interaction with Middle office & outside custodians•Ability to perform Daily reconciliation within stipulated deadline•Ability to work on different Custodians/IM’s reports & understanding their methodologies, including NT’s•Prioritize the Client deadlines/ reconciliation accuracy in line with the risk associated•Fair understanding of securities market knowledge of trade/entitlements/reconciliations•Understanding of Data Scrubbing activities for Mandatory & Voluntary Events•Process the CA events via Stock Splits, Bonus, Cash Dividend, etc. on Key dates to ensure entitlements are credited to clients•Chase custodians for credit of entitlements to clear the outstanding exceptions
•At least 0- 2 Years of experience in financial servicing/accounting field with client servicing, middle office, Reconciliations production and Research background •Analytical skills to resolve and research enquiries and issues•Proven understanding of the trading and settlement life cycle•Ability to actively collaborate and work with extended team outside of the Business unit•Hands on working knowledge of MS-Excel preferred•Good Process and procedure development skills•Graduate (preferably MBA or equivalent)•Good knowledge and understanding on middle office products services and processes, investment reports and market questionnaire•Knowledge and concepts such as set up & maintenance of the securities, valuations and pricing would be an added advantage •Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners•Work well with people in the same department, both locally and globally•Imagination to Excel: Initiate and support pragmatic innovation within the local business area and advocate to integrate the business into global standards and specifications •Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines are required•Ability to adapt quickly to change
