About the position:

NOV is seeking a detail-oriented, results-focused, and talented SharePoint Developer to join our team on a full-time basis.  Responsibilities will include application design, development, testing, deployment, and updating of existing solutions. This role also focuses heavily on software development, customization, and integration.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership on best practices for development, understand the Microsoft SharePoint technology including the SharePoint Framework and the Microsoft Power Platform, and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application design, development, and integration involving business processes and forms.

This role requires a proven technical skill set that has been demonstrated in the development of enterprise business applications and their integration into various enterprise systems. Expert-level knowledge and practical experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, Microsoft .NET Framework, web application development, client-side development, IIS, and other related technologies must also be proven.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to application development in hybrid solutions using SharePoint as the main platform with other Microsoft 365 tools and solutions, such as the Power Platform.
• Participate in the gathering and documenting of requirements from non-technical business users as well as technical users
• Support testing and debugging of custom solutions and components
• Create functional and technical design documents, translate business requirements into system requirements, create Corporate solutions, demo and train users, and implement solutions
• Design, develop, document, and deploy all existing forms of SharePoint solutions and apps.
• Advises on issues of systems integration, compatibility, scalability, and multiple platforms.
• Develop web services to be consumed from SharePoint
• Build reusable code and libraries that can be shared across multiple applications

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields or commensurate work experience
• 5+ years experience with business information systems integration or custom business application design and development in a professional technology consulting, corporate MIS, or software development environment
• Expertise in creating solutions with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
• Advanced development experience with the SharePoint Online and the SharePoint Framework
• Expertise in programming within the .NET Framework stack of technologies
• Experience modern web development experience (.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, Angular and Bootstrap, CSS3, CAML, XSLT, AJAX, etc.)
• Experience with SOAP, WSDL, XSDs, and REST to communicate with web services.
• Knowledge of application and system development life cycle principles, practices, and procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based development and deployment
• Experience with TypeScript and nodeJS
• Experience with developing with the O365 Office Graph API
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, claims, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth, and related authentication technologies
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
• Experience presenting to and interacting with customers at all levels within their organization
• Experience with relational database design principles
