With this mission, we are setting up a Data as a Service team at Novartis Hyderabad, which would work with the Chief Digital Office, Novartis Business units and industry leading technology partners, to drive the execution of Novartis’ data strategy, turning its rich data resources into real strategic assets to drive meaningful insights across the organization. This ambition is one of key pillars in the broader digital transformation happening at Novartis to be a ‘medicines and data science company. Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Ensure Product Master (MDM) system sanity • Creating and maintain the Product/Brand Master for US market • Ensure the data quality and process governance adopting to AGILE practice and JIRA processes • Closely work along with Business partner & liaising with IT for resolving issues • Supporting data migration activities by creating and running test cases/scenarios • Closely work along with MDM team (HCP & HCO data set). Build & Implement MDM data quality checks • Ensuring processes documentation in form of SOP’s, QC list & Process flows diagrams nnnn Position Title: Data Steward Minimum requirements: What You’ll bring to the role: • Education (minimum/desirable): Masters in Computer Sciences / IT or other quantitative sciences • Experience / Skills:3-5 years’ experience in a Global company as a data steward, engineer, modeler • Business understanding of pharmaceutical industry and data standards. Demonstrated ability in at least one of the following areas – a) Pharma R&D, b) Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain and c) Marketing and Sales. Experience in working in Pharma / Life Science industry strongly preferred • Experience in creating & maintaining Product master, Product hierarchy. Exposure in handling CRM tools for product family setup • Understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) using different data modeling methodologies. Hand on experience in working with ETL process, and programming/scripting skills (SQL/Python/Alteryx) for data preparation and analysis. Excellent communication and presentation skills with consulting and senior stakeholder engagement experience What you’ll bring to Novartis: • Act as a data steward supporting multiple use cases, digital lighthouse projects as part of DLC teams collaborating closely with business, data strategy teams and IT.
