Full Job Description
Provides multilevel technical support for diagnosing and fixing Cohesity/Rubrik backup software and related hardware issues such as tape drive failure, gripper robotic arm issues.

Performing Capacity Planning, DB volume configuration, License management, analyze patch requests and apply patches, forecasting backup data, backup trend analysis, Performance review and performance tuning of backups.

Maintain reports on disk utilization, availability and growth patterns.

Provides recommendations to improve the storage infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis.

Defines the storage hierarchy, formats and defines the database, recovery log, and disk storage pool volumes.

Configures sequential storage pools and volumes. Defines data management policies.

Sets up schedules and automated tasks.

Defines tape sharing (library sharing, LAN-free).

Tests the hardware / configures sequential storage pools and volumes.

Performing DR exercises. Assistance in transition activities and major incidents and problem records. Able to interact with Vendor for technical support.

Document standard for new backup solutions.
