MTS – Oracle administrator with Python/Scripting knowledge

In this role you will be playing an individual contributor role as a Customer Excellence engineer in Nutanix Database Service Team.

Join a team of seasoned DBAs and excellent engineers in Era to help customers adopt our path defining solutions on DBaaS.
Engage with customers, partners, and support to provide world class software and support experience to end customers.
Troubleshoot, debug and provide fixes/solutions to complex customer issues in shortest possible time.
Identify enhancements in the products based on customer feedback. Prepare runbooks, scripts and documents to better equip support in dealing with customer issues.
Proactively configure and test new features in the product and develop a strong product understanding.

Requirements:
Expert level knowledge of Oracle. Understanding of Oracle database configurations (SIHA/SIDB, Oracle RAC and Oracle Dataguard ), patching, upgrade, installation and troubleshooting is desirable.

Must be able to understand and debug complex customer database deployments. Must be able to setup environments to reproduce the customer issues.

Hands on experience on DR creation , Backup management , database cloning and refresh

Good knowledge and debugging experience in Python and/or Ansible or shell scripting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer success oriented attitude.

Knowledge on backup products and Database as a Service solutions is a plus.

Knowledge of query/database performance tuning is a plus

Can-do attitude while solving difficult problems

Comfortable working in a fast-moving agile environment

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields with 4-10 years of experience.
