Role Title Technical Product Manager / Data Architect

Role Description
We have a world-class team of product managers who are responsible for our Financial Crime and Compliance (FCCM) applications. You will be an integral member of this team and be responsible for the full lifecycle of data within FCCM applications.
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) for FCCM is responsible for providing technical leadership to our engineering team in shaping the next generation data model for FCCM applications. This is a unique and complex challenge as the data model is being used across many applications, both on-prem and on the cloud, and supports advanced analytical capabilities. As TPM you will work in close collaboration with Data Science, Engineering, Sales and other Product Managers in defining the overarching data strategy, as well as the development and implementation of required enhancements. Strong technology exposure and understanding in the Financial Services industry is a must, blended with strong architectural skills.

You will be responsible for…

• Be the technical product liaison by owning all strategic aspects of the data infrastructure across the entire product portfolio. Focusing on inbound aspects such as product roadmap, requirements backlog, product timelines, and support QA & product maintenance activities, consulting enablement and training/documentation collateral.
• Support strategic PM in end-to-end analysis of the business use cases across FCCM products, partners & other oracle products and designing the data structure.
• Analyze impact of regulatory changes in major jurisdictions across the globe and ensure data model handles those changes.
• Ensuring the product backlog is kept up to date and development process is moving forward. Identify and resolve development blockers.
• Present the development milestones and perform hands-on demonstrations of early prototypes to key internal stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with development managers, software engineers and data scientists in developing forward thinking, market leading product features.
• Manage technical aspects of API specifications, documentation, testing and roadmap
• Design solutions for operational, analytical data and metadata storage, data conversion, data mapping, data integration, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Research available 3rd party data sources and combine your conclusions into the product strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines with relevant Financial Services industry experience
• 10 + years’ Experience in designing architecture solutions for a diverse B2B Enterprise products, technology applications and associated architectures
• 5+ years’ experience working within banking or financial crime industry with exposure to modern design patterns
• Demonstrated understanding of how large complex banks design and maintain their ETL processes, both for on-prem and cloud applications
• Knowledge of structured financial data models, domains, reference data and data driven requirements
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary and global teams
• Understanding of Data Science and Engineering tools, techniques and industry needs
• Track record of using Agile and Kanban methodologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
