Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable, self-motivated and independent Database Administrators based in India. If you are passionate about Oracle database technology as well as cloud computing, this is the ideal role you’ve been waiting for. Our DBA team supports databases which are available both on-premise and on Cloud. In this role, you will be asked to organize and manage the Database instances to meet our objectives and maintain the highest customer satisfaction that is possible. To ensure success as a DBA, you should possess extensive knowledge of Oracle database architecture, i as well as having experience in a similar role.
Oracle Database Performance Specialist Responsibilities (Minimum 10+ Years Experience)
In-depth knowledge on Oracle Database Architecture
Hands-on knowledge of Cloud (OCI, AWS or AZURE)
Strong Core Oracle Database knowledge (12c and 19c) including RAC/ASM
Strong knowledge on Application Performance tuning
Strong knowledge in troubleshooting Cluster related wait events
Strong Knowledge in OS level resource monitoring (Memory, CPU and I/O) such as NMON, OSWatcher, EXAWatcher, etc.,
Strong knowledge in Engineering systems and monitoring.
Understanding of SQL Optimizer and analyzing execution plan
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Object Partitioning
Strong Skill in Performance Monitoring and SQL tuning expertise (SQL*Trace, TKPROF, SQLT, SPM)
Perform detailed performance analysis using various Oracle performance reports such as AWR, ADDM, ASH
Handled performance SLAs of mission critical application
Good knowledge and exposure to Oracle database monitoring tools (OEM, Oratop, etc.,)
Expertise in handling HPROF
Strong SQL, PL/SQL and shell /Perl scripting skills
Basic knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middleware (e.g. WebLogic)
Knowledge of best practices in database management for performance and availability.
Hands-on and expertise in Application (database) migrations
Oracle Database Performance Specialist Requirements:
BE/MCA or any computer science related major
At least 10+ years of experience as Oracle Database Administrator
Strong analytical, communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
Knowledge on Oracle Enterprise Manager
Knowledge of best practices in database management.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
