Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

The Oracle CX Service team has an immediate job opening on its Platform Integration team. This internally focused team works under the guidance of our architecture team and is responsible for delivering integrations for common frameworks, toolkits, and services leveraged by our broader engineering organization.

Oracle CX Service gives the ability to predict the need for service, automate processes, and deliver tailored responses, while balancing self-service and assisted customer service models. We offer powerful and intelligent business to business and business to consumer solutions.

In this position you will be working in the Core Engineering team along with architects to develop the latest and greatest capabilities and help drive further adoption of Customer Experience (CX) products. The position requires building shared software components, work with engineering teams to adopt these components, as well as creating proof of concepts to help innovate in CX. You will be part of a tight knit Agile development team that works hard and celebrates success. You should apply if you meet the following requirements:

• Recent and demonstrable professional experience developing highly reliable, and performant JVM-based microservices.

• In depth experience with modern JVM-based frameworks such Jetty, Netty, or Spring Boot.

• Recent and demonstrable professional experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Oracle or MySQL database.

• Experience with cloud computing infrastructure such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack, or AWS.

• Experience with Jenkins, Git, logging, and monitoring tools.

• You are passionate about automated testing and have the experience to know when to apply various types of automated tests.

• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a distributed and asynchronous work environment.

• Ability to clearly communicate about complex technical and architectural problems and propose innovative solutions.

• Self-motivated and self-managing.

• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineers across a large and diverse organization.

• Experience working with a global or otherwise multicultural team.

• In depth experience with modern JVM-based frameworks such Helidon, Micronaut, or Spring Boot.

• Understands concepts like CQRS, Event Sourcing, Change Data Capture.

• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
