Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

As a member of Oracle’s Financial Services Product Development organization, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver leading edge SaaS solutions for the global marketplace. You’ll be working on our next generation cloud-native platform currently under development.

As a Cloud Software Developer, you will design, develop, deliver, operate and support one or more functional or non-functional domains comprising our next generation cloud native Financial Services solution. In this capacity you exhibit the following qualities:

Qualifications

You are required to have:

1. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kuberenetes

2. Experience configuring web servers and web access management including security and authentication services

3. At least 3 years in a dev-ops role where you have enabled large scale and highly agile dev-ops processes

4. Web traffic experience related to data centers and websites

5. Experience with network infrastructure and software defined networking within Kuberenetes is a plus (Canal, Calico etc).

6. Experience with configuring NGINX is an additional advantage

7. Experience in using and particularly implementing predictive analytics for incident management, troubleshooting and overall system reliability is considered a bonus.

You are expected to:

1. Build complex enterprise systems, workflows, and high-quality tools enabling operations at scale.

2. Have a builder mindset and keep software running.

3. Show extreme ownership; despite being a very senior engineer, you can share on-call rotation with your team and respond to service incidents as needed.

4. Build highly reliable and performant systems with appropriate monitoring and alerting.

5. Work closely with product managers, product designers, and partner engineers to lead or contribute to large-scale strategic projects.

6. Use software engineering skill sets in a business organization to drive meaningful business impact by looking at problems through an operational lens.

7. Create and maintain fully automated CI / CD build processes for Oracle SaaS products.

8. Write and maintain scripts for build, deployment, maintenance, policy enforcement and related tasks.

9. Debug and fix build, tool, infrastructure, and process issues.

10. Document processes and policies

11. Conduct design and code reviews
