Job Description
Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
Responsibilities
Oracle Argus is a comprehensive pharmacovigilance platform which enables pharmaceutical manufacturers to make faster and better safety decisions, optimize global compliance and easily integrate risk management. We are looking for a Product Manager for Oracle Argus Safety suite of products. This roles requires candidates with experience working as a Product Manager/Business Analyst on enterprise software applications, preferably cloud based solutions. Experience in Safety/Pharmacovigilance domain is preferred.
Responsibility:
Manage a cross-functional team from conception of the project to launch.
Define the customer experience, manage the business case, identify value propositions, and build out the product requirements.
Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture.
Develop & document requirements, specifications and use cases for new product features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally, to align business strategy and support growth.
Successfully manage stakeholder feedback and expectations.
Draft strategy and development updates for leadership teams.
Own the customer knowledge and communicate it with development teams.
Be the advocate for the product within the organization.
Skills and Experience Required :
3+ years software industry experience on enterprise level software applications, preferably cloud solutions, with at least 1+ years of experience in Safety/Pharmacovigilance application
Strong technical background through hands-on experience with software development lifecycle
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across various lines of business
Highly self-motivated to work on tasks independently, while working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be sharp, energetic and results-oriented; able to prioritize, negotiate and focus in a rapidly evolving environment
Excellent organization and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
BS/MS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field is required
Prior experience with Product Management functions is preferred.
Experience with Oracle Argus Suite of applications is preferred
Experience of working within an agile development process is preferred
