As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle Communications Applications business unit (CAGBU) is a leading provider of SaaS and On-Premise products-based solutions (BSS/OSS) to the Service Providers in the Communications/Telecom space and enterprises in other service industries such as media, retail, education, health care, automotive, etc. Oracle’s CAGBU Bid (RFx) support team is part of the Sales Consulting organization which provides technical bid/sales support for SaaS/On-Premise bids worldwide. Bid Support services mainly comprise of:
Responding to RFx (specializing in providing responses for point-to-point functional and technical requirements in an RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc) for all Oracle Communications Applications cloud services/ On-Prem products
Creating and maintaining SaaS/On-Prem product’s functional FAQs (helpful in providing consistent responses in RFx and reducing RFx response turnaround time)
Support the solution architecture/description for the opportunity/bid
The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide functional/technical responses to our existing and potential customers’ RFx (RFP/RFQ/RFI) documents and assist in preparing materials that can be used throughout the customer engagement. As such, you will be responsible for:
Understanding the customer requirements in an RFx and mapping these to product/solution while responding to an RFx
Participating in calls with internal sales force, customers, and system integrators to understand the customer pain points/requirements to blend the responses as per the customer expectations
Act as a source of end to end product/solution information for the sales force
Creation and maintenance of technical materials (Product FAQ’s, Solution descriptions, and so on)
Preparation of product and solution value propositions
Understanding the competition’s offerings and positioning Oracle Communications capabilities successfully against them
Experience Required:
Minimum 6 years of Software Industry experience with at least 2 to 3 years of pre-sales/product specialist/sales engineering /consulting experience with proven success in the Communications/Telecom industry.
Experience around SaaS or on-Premise OSS (Operational Support Systems) functions such as Service Order Management, Resource Order Management, Service and Resource Inventory, Network Resource Management, Activation/provisioning is required.
Understanding of technologies such as 3G/4G/5G/Metro Ethernet/ Frame Relay /ATM/MPLS/SONET/SDH etc and their mapping to OSS systems mentioned above is a must.
Communications/Telecom domain experience and awareness of the business processes in these areas including the understanding of the end-user (our Customer’s customer) is a plus.
Knowledge of Digital Customer Experience/CRM, Charging, Billing, Invoicing business processes is an added advantage.
Education Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or any other discipline with the above experience.
