Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas or sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Successful track record in applications implementation and as a manager. Expert knowledge of all applications within a business area; plus some knowledge of other applications. BA/BS degree preferred., * Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager who is passionate about Technology and People Management to manage a team that troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. We are looking for person who is passionate about SaaS delivery platform and Operational excellence.
As a Senior Manager in the SaaS engineering division, you will have a significant role in determining the operational strategy and applying your knowledge of software architecture to manage tasks associated with developing, debugging and designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications in collaboration with geographically diverse product teams. You will also be involved in enhancements within an existing software architecture and responsible for suggesting improvements to the architecture. You will also be responsible for site-up operations.Responsibilities:

• Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of scalable, highly available, multi-tenant services in cloud.
• Provide growth opportunities and support the career development of your team members responsible for the development and quality deliverables.
• Leading and mentoring development teams and taking responsibility for sprint and release commitments, impediment resolution and escalations, while ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
• Interact with product management, project management and other engineering teams to develop software products which fulfill the requirements generated by the product owner.
• Provide technical leadership to the team for design, architecture, code reviews and incorporate engineering best practices into feature development, refactoring work and product maintenance.
• Determine the staffing required for scrum teams to complete assigned tasks. Ensure all assigned personnel receive the training necessary to successfully complete the tasks which are assigned to them.
• Responsible for hiring of software engineers for agile development teams
• Mentor and train software engineers to increase overall team technical skillsets and stay current with technology trends
• Works with team and resolves customer issues as per defined service level agreements

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor/Master degree in computer engineering or equivalent
• 12+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of making technical decisions
• 5+ years of managing engineers and managers
• Experience in Software as a Service deliver model & Operational support
• Experience in delivering operational automation is preferred
• Experience in managing AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI is required
• Familiarity with various software programming techniques and software development tools is a must
• Exposure to various programming languages and design patterns with expertise in Java / Python / SQL is required.
• Intimate working understanding of modern web applications from database to browser
• Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements
• Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts
• Experience designing and improving complex software applications
• Experience coaching and mentoring developers and managers at various levels of experience
